I watched this recently on Netflix Instant Watch. It’s an excellent biography. It made me appreciate Elmo (Elmo debuted in the early 80s - right when I was little - but Elmo-mania really exploded in the 90s. I don’t really remember him from my childhood) and a greater appreciation for Kevin Clash. This movie truly is inspiring and uplifting.#2 Being Elmo: A Puppeteer’s Journey
Watched this today. Story of a man who dreamed of being on Sesame Street and made it in a big way. I can’t say anything bad about it, but the “follow your dreams” moral of the story isn’t exactly refreshing or new. The behind the scenes Muppets stuff is fun and seeing Clash’s dreams come true is hard not to get sappy for, but altogether if you’re not a Muppets fan, this isn’t really a documentary for you. That being said, if you aren’t a Muppets fan, I have absolutely nothing to say to you.
Side note: Whoopi Goldberg’s in it.
